Permissions
You need Editor or Admin on the site. Viewers cannot publish. Ask an Admin to check Settings Team if your role looks wrong.
Build log
Open the failed deploy and read the first error line. Fix that root cause before retrying — later errors are often cascade noise.
Environment
Confirm you are publishing to production (or the intended preview). Publishing a draft to the wrong environment is a common mix-up on teams with many brands.
Status page
Check system status for incidents. If the platform is healthy and the log is unclear, contact support with the deploy ID.
