Provider connection
Open Commerce Payments and confirm the provider shows Connected. Re-authorize if tokens were rotated at the provider.
Test vs live
Preview environments must use sandbox keys. Production must use live keys. Mixing modes causes silent failures or test charges on real customers.
Declines
Open the order for the provider reason code (insufficient funds, 3-D Secure failure, blocked BIN). Fix checkout messaging so shoppers understand recoverable declines.
Webhooks
If payment succeeds at the provider but the order stays pending, verify webhook signatures and endpoint health. See Webhooks & events.
